IPA Slams Vatican for Attempting to Silence Critics

The International Publishers Association (IPA) has joined the Italian Publishers Association (AIE) and European journalism and freedom-of-speech watchdogs to condemn the Vatican for attempting to jail two authors who alleged corruption and financial wrongdoing in the highest circles of the Holy See.

The International Publishers Association (IPA) has named Ben Steward as its first Director, Communications and Freedom to Publish, in a move designed to boost awareness of the IPA’s work, especially in defending the right of publishers to publish and distribute works in complete freedom, and in promoting copyright.
