Asian Publishers Week is one of Asia’s leading international publishing exchange programs. This year’s program will be centered on the theme “Publishing in the Era of AI: Between Crisis and Opportunity” and aims to bring together perspectives from Europe, Asia, and North America to help identify shared challenges and opportunities for the global publishing industry regarding AI governance and implementation. Participants will examine case studies and regional responses from across Asia—and consider what these shifts mean for publishers everywhere.
The program features a Roundtable Discussion among participants, an Open Forum with presentations for Korean publishers, targeted one-on-one business meetings, and visits to major publishers and bookstores in Seoul and Paju Book City. Through this blend of professional exchange, networking, and business development opportunities, the program will offer valuable insights and foster lasting international partnerships.
The Korea Publishers Society is inviting one or two observers from Europe and the United States who bring deep interest and proven expertise in this area. These publishing professionals must meet the following qualifications and be willing to contribute their expertise to the discussion:
- Experience working with Asian publishing markets or international publishing cooperation involving Asia
- Detailed knowledge of current trends and developments in their region related to this year’s theme (AI and publishing)
- Proven professional expertise related to this year’s theme (AI and publishing)
