The Maputo International Book Fair (MIBF)

The Maputo International Book Fair (MIBF) is a new annual event that connects publishing, bookselling, literature, education, technology, and readers in Mozambique and beyond. Scheduled to take place from November 13 to 15, 2026, under the theme “A City That Writes Itself,” MIBF features a professional program focused on publishing, rights, skills development, and innovation, along with a public literary festival for readers, families, and children.
With an international perspective and a strategic goal of enhancing access to the SADC and PALOP markets, MIBF aims to establish Maputo as a hub for the exchange of ideas, talent, content, and business opportunities. The fair will connect local and regional publishing ecosystems with international partners and markets.
