The IPA organizes the International Publishers Congress every two years, in cooperation with the IPA member in the host country. The congress serves not only as an unrivaled platform for networking and discussion among the world’s publishers, but also as a critical opportunity for collaboration, to affect change and establish solutions for industry challenges.

Celebrated at the Mexican Stand at the Frankfurt Book Fair on Thursday, 19 October, the announcement was hosted by CANIEM and FIL Guadalajara. Alongside members of the IPA and the publishing industry, IPA President Karine Pansa and Vice President Gvantsa Jobava were also in attendance, where they spoke of the importance of strong “international collaboration in the promotion of literature and culture.” The Consul of Mexico in Frankfurt, Cecilia Villanueva Bracho, also attended and addressed “the importance of this event and the role of Mexico in the global literary scene.”

Through their newsletter, CANIEM stated that the “synergy between the IPA, FIL Guadalajara, IPA and AAP, backed by the collaboration of FIL Guadalajara, promises to be a benchmark in the publishing world and a source of inspiration for future international initiatives.”
