The 10th edition of Canon’s Future Book Forum in Munich focused on Liquid Design with IPA past Presidents Richard Charkin and Michiel Kolman on the programme and current IPA Vice President Gvantsa Jobava delivering the closing remarks.

The Future Book Forum was the opportunity to focus on sustainability initiatives with Canon keenly involved in the 2030 Accelerator initiative and with two of that initiatives workstreams (on distributed printing and the carbon footprint of a book) coming to a close. The final reports will be available on the IPA’s SDG minisite soon.

Other discussions during the Forum included on Artificial Intelligence and a workshop on Liquid Design.

IPA Vice President, Gvantsa Jobava, closed the Forum with her view of the future of publishing. She focused on the importance of IPA’s pillars of copyright and the freedom to publish and the need for the sector to fight for the future of publishing together.
