Zeynep Varoglu, Senior Programme Specialist at UNESCO in the Section for Universal Access to Information, Communication and Information Sector presented progress on the 2019 UNESCO Recommendation on OER to the Dubai Declaration on OER following the UNESCO World OER Congress in November 2024.
Marcus Wiklund, Director at Sanoma spoke about their experience as a European multinational provider of learning services and looked at attitudes towards learning outcomes and how teachers use different resources.
Anne Bergman Tahon, Director Federation of European Publishers and Christina Mussinelli, Secretary General of Fondazione LIA, asked the attendees whether they were ready for the European Accesssibility Act which comes into action in under three months and will impact educational publishers.
The final presentation was delivered by Stefan Persson, Chair of the Swedish Association of Educational Publishers, who looked at how attitudes in Sweden to physical educational resources have changed and how the government has shifted to a balanced approach between printed resources and digital content.
The session closed with an insightful round up of developments from French-speaking Canada, Latin America, France and the UK.
