One year after its inaugural seminar on AI, AIE returns with this second event, offering insights into the ever-evolving landscape of artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on the publishing sector. The will feature national and international experts who will share their knowledge and experiences. 

The seminar is structured into two comprehensive sessions. The first session will commence with a global overview of the evolution of copyright law, emphasizing the implications of the recently approved European AI Act. It will also explore the significant influence AI has had on scholarly publishing. Additionally, this session will delve into the intricacies of licensing agreements between AI providers and publishers, examining their potential future impacts. 

The second session will provide practical examples of AI applications across various segments of the publishing industry, through the presentation of international case histories. 

 IPA members, along with their affiliated members, are eligible for a 10% discount on the seminar’s full price, joining the AIE member rate. To secure this benefit, participants must register using the appropriate form and submit it to segreteria@ediser.it by June 30, 2024. The seminar will also include Italian to English interpretation to accommodate a wider audience.
