The Kochi International Book Festival serves a spotlight on books and writers around the world.
We started with a few, in 1997, and now we are many, in terms of numbers, talents and creativity, emerging as the largest Bookfest in Kerala and also the biggest in the country organized by a nonprofit charity, created to promote reading and encourage writing. Over the years, the Bookfest venue has moved into an annual pilgrimage site for bibliophiles, publishers and book sellers.
Since we began the Kochi Literature Festival in 2016, held simultaneously with the Bookfest, literally hundreds of national and international, iconic and debut authors have graced our stages and hundreds of thousands of people have experienced vibrant and spirited discussions with writers.
