The Ministry of Education Malaysia via the National Book Council of Malaysia (MBKM) organises the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) in collaboration with six Malaysian book industry associations, including IPA member, the Malaysian Book Publishers Association (MABOPA).
Since 1981, KLIBF has now attracted well over 1.5 million visitors annually. The World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, its venue, is a strategic and perfect meeting place for book lovers to gather, get their favourite books and participate in various activities carried out by the exhibitors and organizers. Apart from book launches, book talks, seminars, workshops and conventions, KLIBF also hosts the 3-day ASEAN Rights Fair (ARF) where publishers across the region trade rights with each other and others from all over the world.
