The International Publishers Association will bring a delegation of publishers from Brazil, South Africa, Egypt, Germany, Spain, UK, Georgia, USA and France to WIPO. We will also hold a side event on the Wednesday on The Importance of Copyright for African and Latin American Publishers. Opened by IPA President Gvantsa Jobava, and IPA Copyright Committee co-chair Catriona MacLeod Stevenson, the session will feature Brian WAFAWAROWA (South Africa), Professor Sihawukele NGUBANE (South Africa), Ahmed RASHAD (Egypt) and Dante CID (Brazil).

The agenda of the week follows the long-standing agenda with the accrediation of new organisations being followed by the Broadcasting Treaty, building on over 25 years of discussions, with Exceptions and Limitations for Museums, Libraries, Archives, Educational and Resdearch  Institutions and persons with other disabilites covering the other standing items. The segment on Exceptions and Limitations will include a presenation of the WIPO Toolkit on Access to Copyrighted Works in the Collections of Cultural Heritage Institutions: Libraries, Archives and Museums

The other matters lists continues to grow covering copyright in the digital envirionment, and proposals for a number of studies.

As with previous Committee meetings, an information session on Artificial Intelligence will take place during the week but outside of the formal agenda.
