Since 1849, SBVV represents the interests of the German-speaking Swiss book and publishing industry. Its membership is currently made up of 180 publishers, 144 bookstores and 7 wholesale booksellers. and includes the oldest printing and publishing house in the world, Schwabe AG which was founded in 1488.
SBVV’s President, Manuel Schär, and its Managing Director, Tanja Messerli, launched this evening of joyful celebrations that comprised reminiscing SBVV history highlights, sharing of testimonies by leading SBVV personalities, a poetry slam and other memorable moments. IPA Secretariat’s was represented by Olivier Borie as well as by IPA’s immediate past and current Treasurers, Werner Stocker and Thomas Heilmann. The latter gave participants an overview of the IPA as he was being interviewed.
