AFRICA

For Africa the winner is Imaginary House (South Africa). Founded in 2015, the South African publishing house aims to publish authentic and imaginative stories to help fill the gap in local intellectual property.

ASIA

For Asia the prize goes to Everafter Books – Beijing Everafter Culture Development Co., Ltd (China). The publishing house was founded in 2015 and focuses on readers aged 0-12 years old. It has published more than 600 books and won numerous national prices across its 9 years of existence.

EUROPE

For Europe the winner is Fatatrac (Italy). The publishing house, founded in 1979 prides itself for connecting playfullness with education.

NORTH AMERICA

For North America the winner is Candlewick Press (USA). Founded in 1992, the independent children’s publisher has published more than six thousand books up until today and aims to create books that authentically represent every child, family and community.

CARIBBEAN, CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICA

For the Caribeean, Central and South America, the winner is Companhia das Letras (Brazil). As the largest publishing house in São Paulo, Companhia das Letras, founded in 1986, grew into 17 independent publihshing units, with the goal to provide quality books across all ages and industries.

OCEANIA

For Oceania, the prize was assigned to Mila’s Books (New Zealand). Since its founding in 2019, Mila’s Books has become the only entirely Pasifika-run publishing house in the world, focused on creating stories that celebrate Pacific heritage and identity.
