By the end of 2024, we want to celebrate 1000 new actions highlighted on the IPA SDG dashboard. Each action will represent a powerful initiative, project, campaign or report that will help demonstrate exactly how the publishing sector is creating a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous world for all of us. Â
The 1000 Actions campaign is designed to inspire and mobilize our publishing sector and individuals to take concrete steps towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Turning the Page supports the UN campaign of 1 Million Actions for Our Common Future.Â
Karine Pansa, President of the International Publishers Association said: We need to make more progress more quickly on the Sustainable Development Goals and publishing can play its part. I know publishers everywhere are taking action, big and small, to make a difference. We call on all publishers to tell us about what you are doing and inspire others to get involved. Â
Mary Glenn, Chief of UN Publications added: The UN is gearing up for the Summit of the Future in September and all our efforts are focused on helping to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. Support from the publishing industry for the 1 Million actions for our common future comes at a pivotal moment and demonstrates that only together can we create a better future. Â
The campaign is open to all publishers and publishing organizations. This is your chance to share your activities and join the publishing community worldwide to turn ideas into actions, stories into movements, and words into powerful tools for change. Â
