Commenting on the launch of the reports, IPA President, Karine Pansa, said: A large part of our sector is dedicated to storytelling and we also have to consider how we tell our own story. We know that publishing plays a vital role culturally, educationally, but also economically in the world. These two statistical reports are part of establishing the evidence base that will enable us to explain to policy makers the importance of publishing.

The Global Publishing Industry 2022 (WIPO) report will be available on 28 November at: https://www.wipo.int/ipstats/en/

The International Publishing Data 2023 (IPA/Nielsen BookData) report is available under embargo at: https://internationalpublishers.org/international-publishing-data-2023/

The IPA would like to thank both WIPO and Nielsen BookData for their work on these reports.
